Microporous has finalized funding for its manufacturing facility in Danville, Virginia, with construction scheduled to start this month. The financing, led by Elda River Capital Management and Eagle Point Credit Management, includes contributions from Trent Capital Partners, which is also a portfolio manager for Microporous.
Once operational, the plant will manufacture battery separators for lithium-ion batteries, supporting a production capacity of 65 gigawatt-hours annually. This development is pivotal for Microporous to address the growing demand for energy storage solutions across various sectors, including automotive and industrial applications. The establishment of this facility may enhance Microporous' competitive edge in the energy storage market.
