Nscale is set to invest €230 million in shared infrastructure and an additional €465 million for a second 200MW facility at the Start Campus in Sines, Portugal. This follows an earlier agreement to deploy 12,600 Nvidia GB300 GPUs.
Nscale plans to introduce Nvidia Rubin GPUs by late 2027. As part of the initiative, the campus aims for a total 1.2GW capacity, powered entirely by renewable energy. Meanwhile, Germany is expanding its digital infrastructure with around 2,000 data centers, although experts stress the need for innovative solutions to meet growing energy demands in AI.
