Microsoft Partners with PLN for 200MW Solar Power for Data Center in Indonesia
Microsoft plans to collaborate with PLN to develop a 200MW solar power project to supply electricity for its data center in Indonesia. This 10-year contract emphasizes Microsoft's commitment to sustainability, aiming for 100% carbon-free energy operations by the end of 2025. The data center in Karawang has a total capacity of 144MW. Microsoft also seeks to achieve water positive status by 2030, ensuring more water is returned to ecosystems than used.
