Microsoft Corp. plans to construct a 195,670-square-foot data center in Medina County, Texas, at a cost of $400 million, with completion expected by July 2028. This facility will serve as a colocation center, renting space to other companies.

Microsoft has been expanding its operations in the area since its first data center was built in 2005, owning approximately 1,451 acres in Medina.
