Middle Village Residents Discuss Future of St. Saviour's Church and Proposed Lithium-Ion Battery Facility

The church, stored in trailers, has been inactive since its dismantling in 2008. Estimates for reconstruction range from $5-7 million, with city officials expressing interest in funding. Concerns were raised regarding the battery facility’s location near schools, while the NYSERDA stated its safety under regulations.
