Midwest Energy Devices has commenced trial production at its lithium battery assembly line in Bengaluru, targeting a capacity of 1 GWh annually and a future expansion to 3 GWh. The production platform, designed for flexibility, will support various cell types and configurations for its BESS products, which include a 418 kWh unit for commercial applications and a 5 MWh containerized platform for grid-scale deployments.
The company adheres to stringent certification standards, including UL 1973, ensuring safety and reliability in its offerings. As energy storage demand rises, Midwest aims to establish itself as a key provider in the sector, with commercialization expected soon following trial adjustments.
