Minerva and Stark Parks Launch Trail Connection with New Bridge Dedication
The Village of Minerva and Stark Parks inaugurated a bridge to enhance connectivity with a $670,000 ODOT grant. A $2 million allocation for the Minerva Connector Trail further advances local hiking and biking initiatives.

On July 10, the Village of Minerva and Stark Parks dedicated a new bridge at Municipal Park, funded by a $670,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). This bridge marks the first phase in a broader initiative to connect downtown Minerva with the Stark Parks Nickel Plate Trail.
In late July, Stark Parks received an additional $2 million from ODOT's Highway Safety Improvement Program to further develop the Minerva Connector Trail, enhancing safety and recreational options. The project is set to enter planning and design phases with construction expected to start in 2032. This development responds to community demand for improved hiking and biking infrastructure and aims to strengthen regional connectivity.
