On May 8, Infrastructure Minister Andreas Carlsson visited ÖBO and Kumbro to learn about the Smart Säker Stad initiative. This program focuses on integrating smart infrastructure, energy collaboration, and secure connectivity to ensure sustainability in Örebro and Kumla.
AI is utilized extensively to optimize energy usage across properties, with a supercomputer connected to approximately 400 district heating substations, significantly reducing energy consumption. The collaboration among municipalities, local companies, and stakeholders aims to foster innovation and sustainable growth. By prioritizing digital infrastructure, Örebro and Kumla strengthen their resilience against future energy and infrastructural challenges.
