Community leaders in Manitowoc County are discussing the implementation of a moratorium on new data center developments. The Mishicot Town Board met to address growing concerns regarding AI data centers interested in building in the area.

Dean Anhalt, the Town Chair, highlighted the need for guidelines and rules for developers, stating that more time is required for communities to plan adequately. The Town Board is seeking collaboration with the Towns of Two Creeks and Two Rivers to support this initiative.
