Missouri Seeks Contractor for Critical Minerals Plan Development
MoDNR is soliciting bids for a new Critical Minerals Plan, aiming to enhance domestic mineral production. The initiative seeks to identify opportunities and challenges while promoting Missouri's mineral resources on a national scale.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR) is inviting bids from contractors to create a Critical Minerals Plan. This plan will include an analysis of local opportunities, challenges, and policy recommendations to facilitate the development of critical minerals.
MoDNR is collaborating with the Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority for this initiative. The Missouri Geological Survey has been providing geological data and services since 1853. The outcome of this plan could position Missouri as a key player in domestic critical mineral production, potentially reducing reliance on foreign sources.
