MISUMI Group Inc. will invest ¥4.6 billion to enhance production of Automated Positioning Stages for data centers and related components. This expansion aligns with rising demand driven by generative AI and the humanoid robot industry, aiming to triple supply capacity by fiscal 2025.

MISUMI Group Inc. will invest ¥4.6 billion in expanding its production capacity for Automated Positioning Stages, addressing the growing demand from data centers and humanoid robotics. This follows a previous investment of ¥2.0 billion announced in January 2026, with order intake exceeding expectations.
The global humanoid robot market is projected to surpass US$10 billion by 2030, driving demand for related components. The expansion aims to increase supply capacity for Automated Positioning Stages to three times the fiscal 2025 level, supporting the Monozukuri industry and enhancing productivity amid rising automation needs. Potential risks include fluctuating demand and competition in the robotics sector.
