Mitsubishi and NTT Launch Joint GPU Computing Demonstration for Pharmaceutical Industry
Mitsubishi and NTT have initiated a demonstration project to enhance GPU computing for pharmaceutical drug discovery. This collaboration aims to assess computing power needs and improve the secure execution environment for AI applications in the industry.

Mitsubishi has introduced high-performance NVIDIA H100 GPU servers to tenant companies at Shonan iPark, part of a demonstration aimed at improving AI model deployment for drug discovery. NTT is leveraging its IOWN APN technology to establish secure, high-speed connections that protect computing resources during remote operations.
This initiative also includes NTT Com's establishment of a low-latency line between Shonan iPark and MCDR data center. Morgenrot's virtualization technology will facilitate access to GPU servers for multiple tenants, enhancing operational efficiency. This demonstration addresses critical challenges and aims to strengthen the AI value chain within the life science ecosystem.
