Mitsubishi Corporation and Partners Form Joint Ventures for Data Centers and Rail Projects in Japan and Myanmar
Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) is initiating multiple joint ventures, including a data center partnership with Digital Realty and a railway modernization project in Myanmar. These initiatives aim to enhance technological infrastructure in Japan and improve public transportation in Myanmar, addressing the growing demand for data processing and mobility solutions.

Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) and Digital Realty Trust, Inc. announced a joint venture to provide data center solutions in Japan, responding to increasing cloud service demands. This facility will be among the few carrier-neutral, high-capacity data centers in the country.
MC also signed contracts with Myanma Railways for 66 cars for the Yangon Circular Railway and 180 cars for the Yangon-Mandalay Railway, totaling approximately 69 billion yen. Scheduled delivery is from 2023 to 2025, improving transit times significantly.
These developments reflect MC's strategy to leverage its expertise in digital and infrastructure projects while promoting international competitiveness in diverse sectors. The focus on sustainable growth aligns with global trends in data and transportation.
