MMG Reports 2025 Profit of $509 Million Driven by Copper Prices and Mine Output
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURESTRATEGIC MINERALS
MMG Ltd. announced a net income of $509 million for 2025, significantly up from the previous year, supported by higher copper prices and strong output from its mines. The profit, however, fell short of the $701 million expected by analysts.
The increase in copper prices was linked to demand from energy transition projects and AI data center developments. The company reported growth at its Las Bambas mine in Peru and Dugald River in Australia, although the earnings were negatively impacted by an impairment charge at the Kinsevere mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
