Moonshot Energy and QumulusAI to Deploy AI Pods Across 125 US Cities
Moonshot Energy and QumulusAI, in partnership with Connected Nation Internet Exchange Points, plan to deploy QAI Moon Pods at 125 sites across the U.S., starting with Wichita State University in July 2026. This initiative aims to enhance low-latency AI workloads by utilizing modular AI infrastructure and GPU-as-a-Service, addressing the growing demand for AI capabilities in underserved regions. The project focuses on providing scalable and economically viable solutions at the network edge.

Moonshot Energy, QumulusAI, and Connected Nation Internet Exchange Points announced plans to deploy QAI Moon Pods at 25 US sites, scaling to 125. The first deployment will start by July 2026 at Wichita State University in Kansas.
The collaboration focuses on low-latency AI workloads, utilizing modular AI infrastructure and GPU-as-a-Service to extend AI compute capabilities beyond traditional data centers.
