Morocco Aims for $11 Billion GDP Boost from AI by 2030
Morocco aims to boost its GDP by $11 billion through artificial intelligence by 2030, as announced by Minister Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni. The initiative includes developing a national AI ecosystem, establishing a sovereign data center in Rabat, and training 200,000 graduates, alongside creating 50,000 jobs and forming partnerships to enhance local AI capabilities. The government plans to invest 1.3 billion dirhams to position Morocco as a regional AI hub.

The Jazari Root network will facilitate collaboration among researchers, startups, and public institutions. The government aims to create 50,000 jobs and establish Morocco as a regional AI hub, supported by a significant investment of 1.3 billion dirhams. Partnerships, including one with Mistral AI, will enhance local capabilities in AI technologies.
