MSEDCL Enhances Power Supply for Simhastha Kumbh Mela with New Substations
Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) is constructing four new substations to ensure 24x7 power supply during the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. This initiative aims to maintain reliable electricity for millions of attendees and local residents.

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) is developing four new 33/11 kV substations at Godapark, Bhadrakali, Nandur-Manur, and Talwade to support continuous power supply for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. MSEDCL Director Dhananjay Aundhekar highlighted the importance of uninterrupted electricity during the event and has mandated timely completion of infrastructure improvements with high-quality standards.
A dedicated 24x7 control room and mobile teams will oversee the network, supplemented by advanced backup systems and additional technical resources. The inspection involved senior officials providing guidance on ongoing projects.
