The Flint and Genesee Economic Alliance is preparing the 1,300-acre megasite in Mundy Township for advanced manufacturing, aiming to generate at least 2,000 jobs. This follows the withdrawal of Sandisk from a $63 billion semiconductor project and a $20 billion state incentive package.
The alliance is actively clearing the site, engaging with local landowners, and has confirmed that data centers will not be pursued due to their inability to create jobs. Currently, the alliance is not in negotiations with any companies.
