Munich Airport has finalized a 10-year power purchase agreement with RWE for 40GWh of electricity annually from the Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm. This wind farm, located 50 kilometers north of Juist, has a capacity of 660MW and is currently under construction, set to operate by early 2027. The agreement is expected to help the airport save around 13,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year by supplying electricity to its infrastructure, contributing to the airport's climate targets.
