Municipal Data & Power (MDP) has launched a global data and energy infrastructure platform following approval for two AI data centers in Nigeria. The initiative will include integrated micro-power grids and aims to establish a mixed-use free trade zone city. MDP is pursuing $90 billion in funding for New York State projects focused on data infrastructure and micro-power grids. The framework promotes public-private partnerships to enhance community economic development and retain local ownership in infrastructure assets.
