Municipal Data & Power (MDP) has launched a global data and energy infrastructure platform after receiving approval for two AI data centers in Nigeria. These facilities will feature micro-power grids and form part of a broader infrastructure initiative.

MDP is formalizing partnerships as it prepares for operations by 2028. The company is also proposing a $90 billion Green Energy Bond Project for New York State, with funding allocated to data centers and micro-power grids. MDP's model emphasizes public-private partnerships, aiming to enhance economic development and local community benefits while addressing national energy security concerns.
