Myanmar and India Finalize DPR for Cross-Border Power Line Project
Myanmar and India have formalized an agreement to prepare a Detailed Project Report for a cross-border power transmission line. This collaboration reflects ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in energy infrastructure development.

A formal agreement has been signed by Myanmar and India to develop a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a high-voltage cross-border power transmission line. This was established during the 6th Myanmar-India Joint Steering Committee Meeting in New Delhi, held from July 10 to 11, attended by Deputy Minister for Electric Power U Aye Kyaw.
The delegation also participated in the 7th Joint Working Group Meeting and visited key facilities, including the Power Grid Corporation's National Control Center and the NTPC's Solar Hybrid Farm. This initiative may strengthen energy ties and improve electricity access in the region.
