Myanmar Students Visit Japan's Imabari Shipyard for Industrial Education
Thirty junior college students, including twenty from Myanmar, toured Imabari Shipbuilding Co. to learn about shipbuilding and environmental innovations. This visit highlights the importance of hands-on industrial experience for future global collaboration in heavy industries.

On June 18, thirty students from Imabari Meitoku Junior College, including twenty from Myanmar, visited Imabari Shipbuilding Co. The shipyard accounts for approximately 51.5% of Japan's shipbuilding volume and 7.2% globally.
The students learned about advancements in environmentally-friendly vessels utilizing liquefied natural gas, ammonia, and hydrogen to minimize emissions. They observed the construction processes for 40,000-ton cargo ships. This educational experience may foster stronger international ties and enhance vocational training in Myanmar's heavy industry sector.
