MYTILINEOS Acquires Aluminium of Greece, Launches CHP Plant and Invests in Bauxite Residue Management
MYTILINEOS HOLDINGS S.A. has successfully merged with ALUMINIUM OF GREECE S.A., resulting in the latter's delisting from the Athens Exchange and restructuring its operations. The company has invested approximately €12 million in advanced bauxite residue management technology and launched a new Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant to enhance efficiency and reduce fuel oil reliance in its aluminium processing operations.

MYTILINEOS HOLDINGS S.A. has completed the merger by absorption of ALUMINIUM OF GREECE S.A., leading to the delisting of the latter's shares from the Athens Exchange. As part of the restructuring, the metallurgy branch is transferred to ALUMINIUM S.A., and Delphi-Distomon becomes a subsidiary of MYTILINEOS.
Additionally, an investment of around €12 million has been made in technology for managing bauxite residues, including four filter presses, achieving the goal of disposing all bauxite residues on land. A new Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant has also commenced operations at the ALUMINIUM industrial complex, which will supply steam to alumina and aluminium processing plants, reducing the reliance on 150,000 tons of fuel oil.
