Nadia Carlsten Resigns as CEO of Danish Centre for AI Innovation After Gefion Launch
Nadia Carlsten has resigned as CEO of the Danish Centre for AI Innovation (DCAI) following the successful launch and scaling of its AI supercomputer, Gefion. Her tenure, which lasted 1.5 years, was marked by significant partnerships with companies such as Zealand Pharma and Siemens Gamesa. The DCAI board has begun the search for her successor as the organization prepares for its next phase.

Nadia Carlsten has resigned as CEO of the Danish Centre for AI Innovation (DCAI) following the establishment and scaling of its flagship AI supercomputer, Gefion. Her departure comes at a point where Gefion is operational at a larger scale, and DCAI is preparing for its next phase.
Carlsten led DCAI for 1.5 years and was pivotal in developing the AI infrastructure. Key partnerships have been formed with companies like Zealand Pharma, Siemens Gamesa, and Milestone, which now utilize Gefion.
DCAI is a public-private collaboration funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation and Denmark's Export and Investment Fund (EIFO). The board has initiated the search for Carlsten's successor.
