NAMA Awards 2025 Research Grant to PhD Candidates in Manipur
The North American Manipur Association (NAMA) has awarded the 2025 NAMA Research Grant to two PhD candidates from Imphal, Manipur. The recipients are from the Department of Anthropology at Manipur University and the Department of Physics at the National Institute of Technology Manipur.
Their project focuses on developing a bamboo-derived carbon-based hybrid as an electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction applications. Additionally, several candidates received Honorable Mentions for their notable projects, including studies on heavy minerals, synthesis of pharmacologically significant imidazole derivatives, stormwater retention optimization, and evaluations of silk fibroin film biomaterials for wound healing. A selection committee evaluated the applications rigorously.
