The Namibia-European Union Business Forum aims to secure N$390 billion to enhance green energy and logistics in Namibia. Scheduled for May 12-13 in Windhoek, the event will focus on multiple sectors including green hydrogen and agribusiness.

The Namibia-EU Business Forum, set for May 12-13 in Windhoek, targets N$390 billion in investments aimed at fostering green energy and economic diversification. Key sectors include green hydrogen, renewable energy, critical raw materials, and agribusiness.
EU Ambassador Ana Beatriz Martins confirmed over 400 high-level participants will attend, including policymakers and industry leaders. Strategic infrastructure, particularly in Walvis Bay and Lüderitz, is expected to enhance trade facilitation.
The forum builds on previous engagements and aims to address local value addition and automotive sector challenges, especially in light of Peugeot's exit from Namibia. The EU's existing tariff regime provides zero duties on Namibian exports, reinforcing its status as a major trading partner.
