NASA Launches M-STAR Funding for Aerospace Research Initiatives
NASA has initiated the M-STAR funding program to support university-led research focused on lunar and deep-space exploration. Applications are open until August 11, aiming to enhance institutional capabilities in aerospace science and engineering.

NASA has opened the Minority University Research and Education Project Space Technology Artemis Research program (M-STAR) for applications to promote academic research in space technology. The initiative seeks to enhance research capabilities at eligible institutions, increasing their competitiveness for future funding opportunities while supporting NASA's exploration objectives for the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
The program, managed by the Office of STEM Engagement, aims to foster participation in STEM research aligned with NASA missions. M-STAR will fund projects in space transportation, human exploration, and robotic systems, contributing to advancements in technologies crucial for future missions. Failure to engage diverse academic institutions may limit innovation in the space sector.
