NASA Revises Artemis III Mission; Lunar Landing Delayed to 2028
SPACE ECONOMY
NASA has restructured its Artemis program, changing Artemis III from a lunar landing mission to an Earth-orbit rendezvous in 2027. The first lunar landing is now scheduled for Artemis IV in 2028. This change follows technical challenges with the Space Launch System (SLS), which have delayed the Artemis II launch to April 2026.
NASA aims to increase launch frequency from every three years to every ten months. SpaceX's Starship and Blue Origin's Blue Moon will support future lunar missions. The adjustments are intended to reduce mission complexity while ensuring safety and operational proficiency.
