NASA Targets April 1 for Artemis II Crew Mission Around the Moon
NASA plans to launch Artemis II on April 1, aiming to send astronauts around the Moon for the first time in over 50 years. The mission, featuring astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen, will last approximately 10 days and is intended to validate systems for future deep space exploration. The crew will launch from Kennedy Space Center, Florida, aboard the Orion spacecraft, propelled by the Space Launch System rocket.

NASA is set to launch Artemis II on April 1, marking the first crewed mission around the Moon since 1972. The mission was delayed due to technical issues but is now confirmed to proceed after successful resolution of problems identified in the Space Launch System rocket.
The crew includes NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen. They will embark on a ten-day journey around the Moon and return to Earth, aiming to validate systems for future missions as part of the Artemis program, which seeks to establish a sustainable lunar presence.
