NASA's SunRISE SmallSats Pass Testing, Prepare for Upcoming Launch
NASA's SunRISE mission has successfully completed testing for its six small satellites at Utah State University's Space Dynamics Laboratory, preparing for launch from Cape Canaveral aboard a United Launch Alliance Vulcan Centaur rocket. The satellites will operate as a large radio telescope to monitor solar radio bursts, enhancing understanding of solar energetic particle events. The mission is managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and led by the University of Michigan.

NASA's SunRISE mission's six small satellites successfully completed rigorous testing at Utah State University's Space Dynamics Laboratory, including thermal vacuum and vibration tests. They will launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station aboard a United Launch Alliance Vulcan Centaur rocket.
The satellites will form a large radio telescope to track solar radio bursts, aiding scientists in understanding solar energetic particle events. The mission is managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and led by the University of Michigan.
