NASENI and Chinese Firms Sign MoUs for $2 Billion Investments in Nigeria
NASENI has signed MoUs with three Chinese firms and received Letters of Intent from ten others, targeting a total investment of $6 billion for various technology projects in Nigeria. These initiatives focus on electric vehicles, drone technology, and energy solutions, aiming to enhance industrialization and economic growth in the region.

On October 19, 2023, during the Belt and Road Initiative Forum in Beijing, NASENI signed three MoUs with Chinese companies for projects worth $2 billion. Partners include Shanghai Launch Automotive Technical Co Limited for electric vehicle production, China Great Wall Industry Corporation for UAV assembly, and Newway Power Technology for lithium battery technology transfer.
Additionally, ten Chinese firms issued Letters of Intent for investments totaling $4 billion covering energy, vehicle production, and technology development. These collaborations are expected to drive industrialization in Nigeria and create job opportunities, enhancing the local economy.
