NASH Maritime to Provide Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Risk Assessment for Morlais Tidal Energy Project in Wales
NASH Maritime has been awarded a contract by Menter Môn Morlais to provide vessel traffic monitoring and navigational risk assessment for the Morlais tidal energy project off the Welsh coast. The initiative aims to support the UK's renewable energy goals by ensuring safe operations in the tidal energy demonstration zone through comprehensive monitoring and compliance with marine license requirements.

NASH Maritime, part of APEM Group, has secured a contract with Menter Môn Morlais to deliver vessel traffic monitoring (VTM) services and navigational risk assessment (NRA) for the Morlais tidal energy demonstration zone off the Welsh coast. The project aims to harness tidal energy in the UK, contributing to renewable energy targets.
NASH will provide comprehensive VTM services, including vessel identification and tracking systems, along with equipment maintenance for harsh environments. The NRA will encompass site-wide assessments, vessel traffic surveys, lighting and marking plans, and navigation monitoring specifications to comply with marine license requirements. This initiative is designed to ensure safe and efficient operation alongside marine energy infrastructure.
