National Energy Administration Establishes Seven Standardization Technical Committees for Hydrogen Energy
On January 27, the National Energy Administration of China announced the establishment of seven standardization technical organizations to enhance energy sector standards. This initiative, aligned with the Energy Law of the People's Republic of China, includes the formation of four hydrogen energy-related committees: Hydrogen Energy Basic and General Standardization, Hydrogen Energy Production, Hydrogen Energy Storage and Transportation, and Hydrogen Energy Application.
The administration emphasized the need for effective management of these committees to promote coordination, avoid duplication, and ensure high-quality standards. The committees will integrate efforts from enterprises, educational institutions, and research bodies to foster technological innovation and support the development of a robust energy infrastructure.
