Natrona County commissioners will evaluate a proposed pumped-hydro energy project valued at $3 billion during a meeting on Tuesday. The Seminoe Pumped Storage Project aims to generate 970 megawatts and is projected to provide $9 million in annual property taxes, supporting local job creation.
Additionally, the board will decide on implementing Stage 1 open burning restrictions due to heightened wildfire risks. A bid for a motor grader involving Wyoming Machinery Co. and RDO Equipment Co. will also be reviewed, with recommendations favoring Wyoming Machinery based on compliance with specifications. The session will also address opioid settlement funds for treatment services and interagency agreements for electronic pollbooks.
