Natura Resources LLC has partnered with NGL Water Solutions Permian LLC to integrate Natura's 100-megawatt molten-salt reactor with thermal desalination for large-scale produced water treatment in the Permian Basin. The collaboration aims to utilize NGL's Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit to create an economic solution for power generation and industrial water treatment.

This combined system will address the challenge of managing over 20 million barrels of produced water daily in the region, providing a sustainable water source for data centers, agriculture, and other industries. Natura's modular nuclear technology offers lower capital costs and shorter construction timelines, with plans to deploy its first commercial-scale reactor in 2029. The agreement supports energy security and critical mineral extraction from produced water.
