Natural Power Secures Ground Investigation Contract for Eastern Green Link 5
Natural Power has been awarded a contract by SSEN Transmission for ground investigation services on the Eastern Green Link 5 project, which will facilitate the transmission of 2GW of clean energy. This initiative is crucial for enhancing the UK's electricity infrastructure and supporting its net zero goals.

Natural Power will conduct ground investigation services for the onshore section of the Eastern Green Link 5 (EGL5), which aims to transmit up to 2GW of renewable energy between Aberdeenshire and Lincolnshire. The investigations will yield essential geotechnical data for the UK's electricity infrastructure, with physical work starting in August 2026.
This project is part of a broader effort to enhance the capacity of the UK’s electricity transmission network and support the integration of renewable energy. The contract is the first under a new framework agreement, indicating Natural Power's role as a key partner in complex energy infrastructure projects.
