Navitas Develops 10 kW DC/DC Converter for 800 V Data Centers

Navitas has launched a 10 kW DC/DC converter designed for 800 V DC applications in AI data centers, achieving efficiency up to 98.5%. The converter, based on GaN components, converts 800 V DC to 50 V DC and ±400 V, utilizing GaNFast FET transistors.

It features a three-stage half-bridge design with synchronous rectification and operates at a switching frequency of 1 MHz, resulting in a compact form factor of 61×116×11 mm. The module provides 10 kW power with 98.1% efficiency at full load and a power density of 2.1 kW per cubic inch.

This high efficiency helps minimize losses and cooling requirements, addressing the needs of AI data centers. The platform is focused on industrialization and includes control functions to simplify system design, currently evaluated with various data center operators in joint development projects.
