NAVSEA Commander Visits SUPSHIP Groton and Electric Boat Facilities

Vice Adm. William Galinis visited SUPSHIP Groton and Electric Boat facilities on May 18-19, 2022, to engage with employees and review submarine programs. His visit included briefings on the COLUMBIA and VIRGINIA Programs, along with facility tours, including Building 260 and the South Yard Assembly Building.
At Quonset Point, he participated in discussions regarding Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Oversight, touring several buildings involved in module outfitting and submarine assembly. The engagement signifies a focus on enhancing workforce collaboration and addressing production challenges as the Navy continues to prioritize submarine readiness.
