NCGC Chairman Yakubu Dogara Advocates for Livestock Research Institute in Taraba
Yakubu Dogara, chairman of the National Credit Guarantee Company, announced plans to collaborate with the Taraba and federal governments to establish a livestock research institute on the Mambila plateau, citing the region's agricultural potential. He also proposed a National Tropical Research Institute to boost agricultural productivity and revenue, while emphasizing the importance of partnerships for regional development, including the completion of the Mambilla hydro power project. The event, part of the '2025 Round Table With the Christian Clergy and Women of Taraba Central,' highlighted community support initiatives led by the Hon Babangida SM Nguroje Foundation.
