Nebius Plans 300MW Data Center Development at Former Regions Bank Site in Birmingham, Alabama
Nebius is planning a new 300MW data center project named BHM01 in Birmingham, Alabama, on an 80-acre site previously owned by Regions Bank. The company acquired the site for $90 million and intends to demolish the existing building. Community concerns regarding environmental impact and local infrastructure were raised during a meeting with residents. The project could generate approximately $80 million annually for local schools, and Nebius aims to partner with local higher education institutions.
