Negeri Sembilan to Develop Alternative Water Sources for Data Centers
The Negeri Sembilan government plans to develop new alternative water sources for industrial use, including three data centers in Nilai, Sungai Gadut, and Springhill. Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun stated that two locations for these sources have been identified, with a third under discussion. The initiative aims to ensure that local residents' water supply is not affected. Additionally, the state government has allocated RM50 million to replace old pipes and address burst pipe issues. The Ngoi-Ngoi Water Treatment Plant Phase 2 will support over 80,000 accounts and produce 150 million liters of treated water per day.

The Negeri Sembilan government is developing alternative water sources to support three new data centers in Nilai, Sungai Gadut, and Springhill. This initiative aims to prevent impacts on residential water supplies.
Two potential locations for the water sources have been identified, with a third under discussion. The state government allocated RM50 million for replacing old pipes to reduce burst pipe incidents. The completed Ngoi-Ngoi Water Treatment Plant Phase 2, costing over RM200 million, will provide 150 million liters of treated water per day for over 80,000 users. Current water levels in the state's seven main dams are satisfactory.
