Babalwa Lobishe, the Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, visited the Kelvin Jones Wastewater Treatment Works in Kariega. The facility processes about 24 million litres of wastewater daily, crucial for public health and environmental protection.

A R6 million investment by the Municipality aims to upgrade infrastructure and improve operational performance. This investment is expected to mitigate flooding risks in surrounding industrial areas, safeguarding local businesses and residents.
