NEO Battery Materials Ltd. has launched a new high-power battery for FPV strike drones, achieving an 82% increase in energy density and a flight range improvement of 102.9%, addressing a critical supply gap in the global defense battery market. The products, available in 6.5 and 11.5 Ah configurations, comply with the U.S.
FY2026 NDAA, facilitating procurement by the Department of War and allied military entities. NEO targets mass-market deployment across the U.S., Ukraine, South Korea, and Japan, positioning itself as a viable alternative to Chinese suppliers.
The batteries are designed for dual-use in agriculture and logistics, with a cycle life of approximately 1,000 cycles. NEO's strategic focus includes building drone inventories for national preparedness in various countries, enhancing supply chain resilience in defense sectors. Furthermore, the battery lines are undergoing necessary safety certifications for international markets.
