Neology Wins $500,000 Grant for Hydrogen Project in Detroit
Neology has secured a $500,000 grant from the Toyota Mobility Foundation to advance its hydrogen refueling project in Detroit. This initiative utilizes ammonia cracking technology for on-site hydrogen production, supporting clean mobility applications and enhancing urban transportation solutions.

Neology has been awarded a $500,000 grant as one of the winners of the Sustainable Cities Challenge in Detroit. The project aims to deploy a small-scale hydrogen refueling system, producing over 1 kg of hydrogen per hour, targeting hydrogen-powered vehicles and industrial applications.
The pilot, scheduled for approximately three months, will facilitate multiple refueling operations each week. Neology's technology has already demonstrated the generation of about 300 kWh of clean energy and 20 kg of hydrogen from ammonia in over ten live demonstrations.
This project aligns with Detroit's goals for advancing hydrogen mobility, potentially setting a precedent for urban transportation innovations. Neology's continued expansion includes customer deployments in Switzerland planned for late summer/early fall 2026.
