NEU Battery Materials Raises Pre-Series A Funding to Scale LFP Battery Recycling in Singapore

ENERGY STORAGE

NEU Battery Materials has completed the first close of its Pre-Series A funding round to advance its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery recycling technology. The funding comes amid a global shift toward securing mineral supply chains as critical infrastructure.

In 2025, NEU surpassed its 2028 technology targets early, completed pilot-scale validation, and initiated semi-commercial scaling in Singapore. The company aims to expand operations to a facility with a capacity of 1,300 tons and to recycle LFP battery materials into battery-grade lithium.

The Pre-Series A round was co-led by SGInnovate and Shift4Good, with participation from CJIC and M7 Holdings. As global energy storage demands rise, NEU's advancements underscore the growing significance of battery recycling and circularity in the clean energy sector.
