Neuron Energy has launched a battery energy storage system manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra, with an investment of ₹1 billion (~$10.76 million) and a capacity of 5 GWh. The facility spans seven acres and is fully automated, focusing on the production of containerized battery storage units to optimize renewable energy usage and meet peak demand.
Established in 2018, Neuron Energy specializes in lithium-ion batteries and has manufacturing sites in Kapashera, Noida, and Pune. The Pune site aims to improve battery longevity and reduce charging times, while the Delhi facility concentrates on manufacturing batteries for two-wheelers. This expansion may enhance the company's competitiveness in the growing energy storage market.
