NeuroXess Begins Construction of China's First Fully Implantable BCI Factory
NeuroXess has commenced construction of China's first fully implantable brain-computer interface (BCI) factory in Jiangxi province, set to operate by late 2023. The facility will produce tens of thousands of BCIs, along with flexible electrodes, electroencephalographs, and surgical robots, while also serving as a data center for future product development. Supported by the Shanghai government, the initiative aims to advance clinical applications of semi-invasive devices by 2024 and all BCI types by 2030.

NeuroXess has started construction of a 'super factory' in Jiangxi province, China, set to begin operations in the second half of 2023. The facility will produce the world's second and China's first fully implantable brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), aiming for tens of thousands of units.
Additionally, it will manufacture flexible electrodes, electroencephalographs, and surgical robots, and serve as a data center for developing next-generation products. NeuroXess, established in 2021, has conducted over 50 BCI implant surgeries and completed China's first fully implantable BCI with a built-in battery. The Shanghai government is supporting the BCI industry's growth, targeting clinical applications of semi-invasive devices by 2024 and all BCI types by 2030.
