New Horizon Copper Begins Construction at Kombat Mine in Namibia

STRATEGIC MINERALS

New Horizon Copper initiated construction at its Kombat mine in Namibia, which it owns 80%, on February 17. Production is slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. The phased development aims to increase throughput to 60,000 tonnes per month.

The groundbreaking ceremony included New Horizon's leadership, government officials, and local community stakeholders. The project is expected to improve operational stability and contribute significantly to the Namibian economy. The Otjozondjupa region is set to benefit from job creation and community development, with Epangelo Mining holding a 10% stake in the mine.
