New London Innovation Hub Welcomes Ki Hydrogen as First Tenant Ahead of 2026 Launch
The Innovation Hub in West London, opening in June 2026, will address the shortage of laboratory space by providing 55,000 ft² for science startups. Ki Hydrogen has secured 1,500 ft² to advance its green hydrogen technology, benefiting from proximity to academic and industry partners.

Ki Hydrogen has been confirmed as the first tenant of the Innovation Hub at 1 Portal Way, North Acton, which is set to open in June 2026. This new facility, developed for Imperial College London and operated by Sciopolis, will span 55,000 ft² and accommodate up to 30 companies focused on science and technology.
The hub aims to alleviate London's laboratory space shortage by offering flexible, fitted facilities and shared amenities. Ki Hydrogen will utilize the space to enhance its biomass-to-hydrogen technology while remaining integrated within Imperial's innovation ecosystem, fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
