New Offshore Data Center Solution in North Sea to Address Wind Power Challenges
Aikido Technologies is developing a novel offshore energy hub combining wind power and data centers, set to launch by year-end. This project aims to enhance energy efficiency and meet rising data capacity demands driven by AI advancements.

Aikido Technologies is creating an energy hub in the North Sea that integrates a renovated Vestas V-17 wind turbine, producing 100 kW, with data center operations. This innovative approach places data centers closer to energy sources, reducing transmission losses and relieving onshore infrastructure.
The project is expected to be operational by the end of the year, addressing challenges in both wind energy generation and data processing needs. By utilizing local wind power and seawater for cooling, the solution aims to be cost-effective compared to traditional data centers. The North Sea is identified as a key area for offshore wind development, with several European nations planning significant investments in this sector.
